PGA Tour Power Rankings: Farmers Insurance Open

6. Taylor Pendrith
For those who play fantasy golf and are looking for a more budget-friendly option for their lineups this week amongst guys who are long off the tee and are very good putters of the golf ball, Taylor Pendrith should slot perfectly into your lineup. Pendrith's T43 at the Sony Open snapped a streak of 8 straight top-25 finishes for Pendrith, and coming back to a course where he finished T9 last year should set Pendrith up for success this week. He can tend to get a little erratic off the tee, which can make things a bit more difficult around Torrey Pines. However, I think Pendrith's length off the tee can offset this, and should put him high in the usage rankings for any of the fantasy contests this week.
5. Sungjae Im
I think his poor performance in the majors last year has gotten a lot of people off of the Sungjae Im bandwagon, but since the U.S. Open last year, Im has been one of the best players on the planet (of course, he missed the cut this week at The American Express as I'm writing this). Im's all-around game makes him a threat at any golf course on the Tour schedule as a baseline, and he has had success at Torrey Pines in the past. Especially with projected benign conditions in the forecast this week in La Jolla, expect Im to perform well.
