6) Hideki Matsuyama

Matsuyama's resilience and resolve were remarkably impressive throughout the entire FedEx St. Jude Championship.

Earlier last week, it was reported that Matsuyama, his caddie, and coach had been robbed following his bronze medal win in Paris. His caddie and coach were forced to return to Japan, so he played the entire week with a fill-in caddie. For many, their tournament would be over before it even started. But not Matsuyama.

He found himself trailing by one stroke with three holes remaining, after holding a five-stroke lead for the majority of the day. Most players would succumb to the pressure in this scenario. But not Matsuyama.

He drained a long birdie putt at 17 and fired a dart at 18 to close the door. An iconic demonstration of grit.

The 32-year-old paced the field on the greens, with arguably the best putting performance of his career -- which is wild considering his massive struggles with the flatstick just a few tournaments ago.

Simply put, he is on a heater right now, and nobody should be surprised if he goes back-to-back in Denver.

5) Tony Finau

Outside of Wyndham Clark, nobody is more at home this week than Tony Finau.

The Utah native spent his childhood playing the various mountain golf courses that Salt Lake City has to offer. While that may have not set him up well for traditional PGA Tour courses, his familiarity with altitude should prove vital this week.

Over the last 24 rounds, Finau ranks third in the field in strokes gained on approach shots. When he putts well the results tend to follow. He has gained strokes putting in his last six starts and notched three top tens in that stretch.

He has always seemed to love a high-scoring affair, and the score this week should approach the high teens. Castle Pines is a behemoth of a track, and Finau has had tremendous success at other Nicklaus courses.

The 34-year-old also sits seventh on the Presidents Cup list. With the top six automatically qualifying for the team, Finau knows he needs to end the season on a high note. As if he needed more motivation.
