8) Sungjae Im

Sungjae was everybody's pick to win last week at Sedgefield. Unfortunately for the 26-year-old, his putter traveled with him to North Carolina, but his irons did not.

He lost 0.83 strokes on approach shots last week: his worst mark since The Masters. His performance should be treated as an anomaly, as few have struck the ball better than him since late June.

Sungjae also seems to love these no-cut events. He finished in the top 20 in six out of the eight signature events. At this venue, his last two finishes are T6 and 12th.

His putter has long been the question mark -- with the irons being the answer. Now, Sungjae has seemed to flip the script, gaining strokes with the flatstick in five straight events. If the irons return to form, look out.

7) Billy Horschel

Billy Horschel is playing some fabulous golf right now.

After a nightmarish 2023, his 2024 resurgence has been well-documented.

His game seems to be firing on all cylinders at the moment; his opening round 62 at the Wyndham last week is a prime example. He was stuck in neutral for the final three rounds but still managed to finish with a T7.

His resume at TPC Southwind speaks for itself with five top tens throughout his career. He missed the cut here in 2022, but Horschel's game is in a different stratosphere at the moment.

A high finish should be in store for the American.
