2024 FedEx St. Jude Championship: Top 10 power rankings at TPC Southwind

It's FedEx Cup week, and the golf world turns to Memphis, Tennessee, where the stars will try to conquer TPC Southwind. Here are some of the notable players to watch this week as the playoffs commence.

4) Xander Schauffele

Schauffele has been deemed "course proof" by many, but he has not seemed to be able to figure out TPC Southwind. Yet.

In his last two appearances, he has gone T24 and T57.

The now two-time major champion is in the midst of a historic run; his tee-to-green game has been flawless the entire year. He is like Scottie Scheffler in the sense that even if he does not putt well, he can still contend.

And speaking of Scheffler, Schauffele is locked into a battle with the 2024 Masters Champion for Tour Player of the Year. Although majors assume superiority in this sport -- and Xander won the most recent edition -- Scheffler responded with a scorched-earth back-nine to win gold for America.

In the latest staredown in Paris, the Open Champion was the first to blink. Who will blink next?

3) Collin Morikawa

Morikawa was a trendy pick to win in Paris, but his putter betrayed him. He gained 1.95 strokes on approach shots that week which was his best mark this calendar year.

His swing, and game, could not be in better shape -- seven top tens and 14 top 25s to date is wildly impressive.

At TPC Southwind, he has finished 13th and fifth in his last two events. Expectations are high this week for the American, and I would not bet against him picking up his first win of the year in Memphis.
