Tommy Fleetwood has been stellar at The Renaissance Club.

The Englishman has finished inside the top six in three of four appearances with a solid T-26th as the outlier.

In 2020, he carded 69-68-69-67 to reach a playoff won by fellow countryman Aaron Rai.

Four rounds of par or better the next year produced T-26th, followed by T-4th (73-69-67-67) in 2022 and T-6th (70-66-63-72) last year.

“I'm from a links town. I grew up on the only parkland course in the town pretty much, but I've played a lot of links golf in my life and I do feel comfortable out there, whatever the conditions,” Fleetwood was transcribed by ASAP Sports during the 2021 Scottish Open.

In 2023, Fleetwood was in the top three heading to the final round. A double bogey on the 72nd hole dropped him from staying there. It was an otherwise impressive week where he ranked sixth in driving accuracy (65.38%), only found the sand once (he got up and down), and was second in putts per green in regulation (1.61).

The 33-year-old comes to the Genesis Scottish Open in consistent form. Fleetwood has finished T-26th or better in six straight starts. He’s also finished inside the top 26 of all three majors, including T-3rd at the Masters.

Through June 30, Fleetwood is 33rd on the PGA Tour in Strokes Gained: Total. It’d be higher if Masters stats contributed. He’s third in driving accuracy (76.38%) and ninth in scrambling (66.46%).
