2024Masters/PowerRank/5. 5. OWGR: 5th. Best Masters finish: T-2nd (2019). Xander Schauffele

Posting a 50% top-10 rate at the Masters is mighty impressive.

Xander Schauffele was in contention to win the green jacket in his second appearance at Augusta National when he finished T-2nd (73-65-70-68) in 2019. He added T-3rd (72-69-68-72) in 2021 and last year took T-10th (68-74-71-71).

With six years under his belt at this prestigious event, Schauffele has the database of course knowledge that is so useful around ANGC. The California kid is starting to feel comfortable in Georgia.

“I think just having that knowledge around the property and it being sort of in the back of your brain, not really -- you don't have to think much,” Schauffele was transcribed in 2023 by ASAP Sports. "It feels like you're playing a home game to an extent where you can remember all the small things.”

Schauffele has been his usual consistent self posting high finishes week after week. All that’s missing is a victory to show for it.

The 30-year-old owns six top-10s in eight starts. Half of the six came in Signature Events on the PGA Tour.

Schauffele is coming into this week well-rested. He last teed it up three weeks ago where he took T-5th at the Valspar Championship. Schauffele was in contention the week prior where he took T-2nd at the Players Championship.

Schauffele’s statistical profile this season on the PGA Tour is a sight to behold. He’s gaining ground in every strokes gained category and is top-20 in each of them except for putting (where he’s 80th).

He’s second in Strokes Gained: Total (1.934) and second in SG: Tee-to-Green (1.817).
