2024Memorial/PowerRank/9. 9. OWGR: 13th. FedEx Cup: 5th. Sahith Theegala

Sahith Theegala hasn’t missed a cut on the mainland United States all year.

Since MC’ing at the Sony Open in Hawaii, Theegala has been on a roll. Even the week prior, he was solo second at The Sentry.

The former Pepperdine Wave is up to five top-10s in 13 starts, including another solo second at a Signature Event, the RBC Heritage.

A T-12th at the PGA Championship doesn’t tell the full story of how Theegala was in the heart of the trophy chase until a tough Sunday round dropped him down a bit on a crowded leaderboard.

He missed playing the weekend for the first time since January when he MC’d last week at the RBC Canadian Open.

A couple days off aren’t the worst thing in the world at this time of the year, even with his young 26-year-old legs. He’s got this week’s Memorial Tournament and the U.S. Open next week as part of a busy summer of golf for the world’s best.

Theegala is fifth on the PGA Tour in Strokes Gained: Total (1.338), exemplifying his well-roundedness and consistency. He’s fourth in SG: Putting (.686), 23rd in SG: Off-the-Tee (.42), and 32nd in SG: Tee-to-Green (.653).

Theegala is 19th in average approach proximity from 200-plus yards (47’6”).

While not a bomber, Theegala is long enough to compete on all types of golf courses. Muirfield Village is one of them.

He made the cut in his maiden voyage to Dublin, Ohio, last year. Theegala carded 76-70-75-76 to earn T-58th.
