2024 RBC Heritage: Top 10 power rankings at Harbour Town
Based on a top-10 at last year’s RBC Heritage and a top-10 at last week’s Masters, Xander Schauffele is a popular pick this week.
He arrives at Harbour Town, where he’s never missed a cut in four tries. The Californian was comfortable on the opposite coast in South Carolina, carding 67-66-70-66 to finish solo fourth and just two shots out of a playoff.
Schauffele was third in the field in Strokes Gained: Approach (7.021) and seventh in greens in regulation (75%).
“…it's very relaxing and almost feels like home, sort of a San Diego vibe, everyone is in a good mood…” Schauffele was transcribed by ASAP Sports in 2019.
Schauffele comes to South Carolina seeking his fourth straight top 10. Last week resulted in solo eighth with a steady week at a windy Augusta National featuring rounds of 72-72-70-73.
Prior, the former San Diego State Aztec took T-2nd at the Players Championship and T-5th at the Valspar Championship. Schauffele’s up to seven top-10s in nine starts in 2024.
We all know the type of season Scottie Scheffler’s having. He ranks No. 1 in Strokes Gained: Total and is nearly a shot clear of the field.
The best of the rest has been Schauffele at 1.934 per round. He’s also No. 2 in SG: Tee-to-Green (1.817), eighth in SG: Off-the-Tee (.744) and eighth in SG: Around-the-Green (.496).
If he can start rolling in some putts, his first win of the year and eighth of the 30-year-old’s career could come in no time.
