2024 RBC Heritage: Top 10 power rankings at Harbour Town

After a couple missed cuts at Harbour Town early in his career, it’s been smooth sailing for Matt Fitzpatrick at this course on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean.

Since 2018, Fitz owns four top-14 finishes at the RBC Heritage. That includes T-4th (71-64-68-68) in 2021 and his win last year.

In 2023, the former Northwestern Wildcat carded 66-70-63-68 to enter a playoff vs. defending champion Jordan Spieth. The two opened the playoff with a pair of pars before Fitzpatrick’s birdie on the par-4 18th and third playoff hole got the job done.

“I just like the design of the golf course,” Fitzpatrick was transcribed by ASAP Text in 2023. “I like the area. I think it's a really tough test. I think it's a really fair test. If you hit the ball well tee to green, you get rewarded.”

Fitz is more than just a horse for the course selection this week. The Englishman’s on a great run of form leading in with solo fifth at the Players Championship, T-10th at the Valero Texas Open, and T-22nd at the Masters.

A poor start to the year brought down a lot of his stats, but he’s on the uptick. Fitzpatrick is 27th in Strokes Gained: Putting (.431) and seventh in birdie or better percentage (36.5%).
