2024 Tour Championship: Top 5 power rankings at East Lake Golf Club

Golf and peaches -- the Tour reaches its final (and a familiar) destination this week in Atlanta. Players have battled all season for a spot in the Tour Championship, and now, only the top 30 remain.

Top 5 power rankings at the 2024 Tour Championship

Honorable mention: Wyndham Clark (four-under)

Clark was the talk of the town last week, as he looked to capture a win in his home city.

A Sunday 74 halted his hopes, but a T13 adds to an already impressive summer resume.

The Denver native projects well in an environment as such; the staggered start should have him hunting flags all week. His performance at Pebble Beach earlier this year showed what he is capable of when playing from behind -- a course record, Saturday 60 was one of the most spectacular moments of the season.

Clark may not offer the same security as others in the field, but his upside is undeniable. A solo third from this same starting position last year echoes that.

5) Tony Finau (three-under)

"Big Tone" was tied for first in Strokes Gained: Tee to Green last week in Denver.

On the green, however, he ranked 39th.

It's difficult to putt worse than he did last week, but he still managed to log a T13.

A big-boys game, it is a surprise he has not broken through at East Lake -- a seventh-placed finish in 2019 is his highest finish in recent memory.

His ball-striking profile fits the bill for what it takes to win at East Lake. Now in his eighth straight start at the Tour Championship (!), he looks for a signature win to end the season. If the putter comes alive, Finau will shoot up the board in a hurry.
