From a photo finish in the men's 100-meter gold medal race to Scottie Scheffler's stunning final round at Le Golf National, drama in Paris has been at an all-time high. This week, Greensboro, North Carolina, will be the center of drama, as Sedgefield CC will host the Wyndham Championship.

It is officially "grind" season on the PGA Tour: the Wyndham Championship marks the final tournament on the PGA Tour calendar prior to the start of the FedEx Cup Playoffs.

Last year's edition saw tour star Justin Thomas lip out on his chip on the final hole to prevent him from finishing inside the top 70, while winner Lucas Glover catapulted from No.112 to No. 49 in the standings. This year, you can expect another drama-filled ending as players vie to secure their spots in the standings.

Located southwest of the city's center, Sedgefield CC has hosted the Wyndham Championship annually since 2008.

The Donald Ross design is famous for its narrow fairways and daunting Bermuda green complexes. At 7,131 yards and as a par 70, the course is on the shorter side of the PGA Tour rotation.

Positioning in the fairway will be key as players attack the tricky green complexes; Donald Ross has long been known to reward players who are strategic in their game plan. It is no surprise that the same players tend to be at the top of the leaderboard each year, as course history at Sedgefield has proved to be of the utmost importance.

The two most significant criteria this week are strokes gained on approach shots from 150-175 yards and strokes gained: putting on Bermuda surfaces. Nearly 30 percent (above the tour average) of the approach shots will come from 150-175 yards, so players who excel in that area will be at an advantage.

Let's dive into this week's power rankings for the Wyndham Championship.
