Nick Taylor and Adam Hadwin nearly became the first Canadian duo to win the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.

They finished just two shots back of champions Nick Hardy and Davis Riley.

Taylor/Hadwin were steady with 66 and 64 in four-ball and 67 and 63 in alternate shot to get to 28-under. This is a team that could be raking it in at TPC Louisiana for years to come.

“It's very unique to have two guys from the same city grow up and get out here on the PGA Tour,” Hadwin was transcribed by ASAP Sports in 2023 “So now to kind of come full circle -- I know we paired up in the World Cup a number of years ago, but to kind of come full circle on the PGA TOUR, like he said, we came out the same year in '14, and here we are eight, nine years later teaming up at Zurich Classic and having a chance to win. So it's pretty cool.”

Taylor is the headliner of the two the way the 36-year-old has come on strong the last couple years. He avenged a runner-up finish at the 2023 WM Phoenix Open by winning the event in ‘24.

The former Washington Husky has since added a T-12th at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and T-26th at the Players Championship.

Hadwin, 36, doesn’t have the win this year, but has been more consistent. The former Louisville Cardinal owns three top-fives this season, including at a Signature Event (Genesis Invitational, T-4th).
