It feels like the 2023 Ryder Cup just ended, but all of our attention is focusing on 2025 as the US captain is set to be announced at noon EST on Tuesday.

The importance of the upcoming Ryder Cup can’t be overstated after the embarrassment that was 2023 when the US lost 16.5 to 11.5. So in order to have the team prepared to redeem themselves, the US needs to make the right selection for captain (sorry Zach Johnson).

There are many great options to choose from, but these are the three best options in my opinion.

1. Tiger Woods

In all honesty, how can Tiger Woods not be everyone’s top choice to be the 2025 Ryder Cup captain? I think we all know he will at some point in his life, so why not now after the US we’re just embarrassed in the 2023 Ryder Cup?

I also think it makes the most sense to have Tiger be the captain on home soil. Just imagine how wild the crowds and scene would be if he were to be named captain. I bet it’d be something we’ve never seen before.

There’s also no greater winner in golf history than Tiger. So in a year when the US will again be heavy favorites and desperately need to win on home soil, Tiger Woods is the only choice in my eyes.
