2. Bryson DeChambeau

Similarly to Scheffler, Bryson DeChambeau has to be one of the top picks to win this week. Everyone knows about the run Scheffler has been on this year, but did you know DeChambeau has actually been better in the majors?

This includes a sixth-place finish at the Masters, a second-place finish at the PGA Championship, and winning the US Open. It doesn’t get much better than that at the majors.

Now, while DeChambeau still hasn’t won on the LIV Tour yet this season, I think that is partially by design. DeChambeau’s swing coach Dana Dahlquist spoke about this on the Fore Play podcast how they are using the LIV events to prepare for the next major. Sure he’s still trying to win these events, but in the back of DeChambeau’s head, he’s always thinking about the next major.

So, because of that extra attention on the majors, and the fact that he’s been the best golfer this year at the majors, DeChambeau has to be my second pick to win the British Open this week.
