Fantasy Golf: American Express Final Round Showdown DFS Picks

This Sunday morning, the PGA Tour presents fantasy golf fans with the final round of the 2024 American Express. Let's take a look at the final round from a DraftKings/fantasy golf perspective.

The final round of the 2024 American Express will be played at the Pete Dye Stadium Course in La Quinta, California. The golf course is a par 72 that measures approximately 7,147 yards.

Before I discuss my fantasy golf/DraftKings player selections I wanted to emphasize that the purpose of this article is not to provide an exact lineup for a specific fantasy provider.

2024 American Express: Sunday Showdown Selections

Sam Burns $9,200

Sam Burns has accumulated three top 16 finishes in his last four tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including a 16th-place result at the 2023 Hero World Challenge in December.

Burns also checks the box for me when it comes to previous event/course history. Since 2019, Sam Burns has played the American Express four times. In those four events just mentioned, Burns has accumulated three top 18 finishes, including an 11th-place result at the 2023 American Express.

Justin Thomas $9,100

The 2022 PGA Championship winner has accumulated four consecutive top 12 finishes (DP World and PGA Tours combined), including a fourth-place result at the 2023 Nedbank Challenge in November.

Justin Thomas also finished seventh at the 2015 American Express.

Ben Griffin $7,300

The talented young American has accumulated three top 30 finishes in his last four events played on the PGA Tour, including an eighth-place result at the 2023 RSM Classic in November.

In relation to this week's current listed 2024 American Express field, in the last 12 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Ben Griffin ranks fourth in strokes gained putting and 11th in scrambling.
