Fantasy Golf: The American Express DFS Player Selections

After a two-week stint in Hawaii, the PGA Tour returns to the state of California for the 2024 American Express.

A quality field of talent, including 2022 Masters champion Scottie Scheffler, will travel to California in an attempt to hoist the winner's trophy on Sunday afternoon. Let's take a look at this event from a fantasy golf/DraftKings perspective!

Before I discuss my fantasy golf/DraftKings player selections I wanted to emphasize that the purpose of this article is not to provide an exact lineup for a specific fantasy provider.

Having stated that, this article will provide multiple player options in an effort to assist the reader in generating a unique lineup that will hopefully have the potential to win a DraftKings GPP (guaranteed prize pool) contest!

Here are my fantasy golf/DraftKings player selections for the 2024 American Express!

The American Express: 2024 DFS Selections

Xander Schauffele $10,900

Two weeks ago, Xander Schauffele fired a third-round 65 at the 2024 Sentry on his way to an eventual tenth-place finish.

In relation to this week's current listed 2024 American Express field, in the last 36 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Xander Schauffele ranks fifth in strokes gained on par fours, third in strokes gained ball striking, sixth in strokes gained putting, and fourth in birdie or better percentage.

Additionally, Schauffele finished third at the 2023 American Express.

Adam Hadwin $8,300

The talented Canadian has accumulated three top-16 finishes in his last five tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including a second-place result at the 2023 Shriners Children's Open.

Adam Hadwin certainly checks the box for me when it comes to previous event history.

Since 2016, Hadwin has played the American Express seven times. In those seven tournaments just noted, Hadwin has accumulated five top-18 finishes, including a second-place result at the 2019 American Express.

Patton Kizzire $7,000

Patton Kizzire has accumulated two top-15 finishes in his last four events played on the PGA Tour, including a 15th-place result at the 2023 World Wide Technology Championship in November.

Kizzire also finished 11th at the 2023 American Express.
