103rd: Matt Kuchar

Kuch has made headlines for all of the wrong reasons this week (his theatrical performance on the closing hole has not resonated well with the golf world.)

But let's talk about the golf side of the equation.

Kuchar is the only player to make the postseason of the FedEx Cup every year since its inauguration in 2007. This past week, the vet held the 36-hole lead -- it looked like he might defeat Father Time yet again.

Instead, Kuchar faltered on Sunday, posting scores of 70-71 in the 36-hole marathon. After all, it was a tough ask for the 46-year-old to grind out 36 holes on Sunday.

Or 35, to be precise.

106th: Rickie Fowler

Just a little bit more than a year ago, Rickie Fowler was the 36-hole leader at the US Open.

The fan-favorite enjoyed a career renaissance in 2023, winning The Rocket Mortgage Classic and making the Ryder Cup team. All signs pointed to a so-called "second prime" at age 35.

But golf can change in the blink of an eye.

2024 has not been the year Fowler imagined. He only mustered two top-25s and missed the playoffs by 36 spots.

Back to the drawing board.
