Top ten contenders at the 2024 Procore Championship

10) Matt Kuchar

It is fair to question whether Kuch can go the distance (literally).

His theatrics aside, Kuchar played an excellent two-and-a-half rounds his last time out at the Wyndham Championship, as he led at the halfway point. He has posted T3-T12 in his last two events, so it seems Father Time has not caught up to the vet.

At 103rd in the standings, he is going to need a strong fall to retain his tour card and possibly make a push at the top 70. Napa has been kind to Kuchar -- his last two visits have ceded 7th and 12th place finishes.

Using the phrase "trending up" at this point in his career may seem frivolous, but there is reason to believe the 46-year-old has some gas left in the tank.

9) Min Woo Lee

You probably know the "Chef" best for his dedication in the Instagram and TikTok departments (take a look at his feed here), but he has made a name for himself as one of the game's ascending talents.

At first glance, Min Woo's 2024 was alarmingly mediocre -- he managed just two top-tens in 17 starts. The problem, however, was that he barely played.

And no, injuries did not inhibit his ability to play golf. Sponsor exemptions did.

Min Woo earned full-time status in 2024, so his standing in the FedEx Cup race did not demonstrate his ability. He quickly stacked quality finishes but found himself outside of the top 70 cutline for Signature Events. He only played in one, while Webb Simpson (World No. 274) teed it up in his place. Sponsor exemptions have been ridiculed by the golf media frequently; Min Woo is one that has suffered.

His game fits what Silverado Resort demands -- hit the ball a country mile and give yourself birdie looks. The Aussie will be representing his country in the Presidents Cup later this month, so a high finish and he is strolling into Canada head high.
