8) Corey Conners

Conners continues to vie for the 'best-ball-striker-not-named-Scottie-Scheffler' award. Only Finau stands in the way, from a strokes gained perspective.

It is surprising Conners has not won in 2024, as his run has been nothing short of incredible. He has finished outside the top 50 just once since February and has not lost strokes to the field in an event all season long.

His putter seems to be in a never-ending state of neutral: it is the only reason why his name has not notched the top of the leaderboard yet.

His skill set is not an ideal fit for this venue, as shown by two MCs in his last three starts at Silverado. Conners tends to struggle more on tracks that provide "birdie-fests" due to his uninspiring putting. Still, the Canadian will have the ultimate honor of representing his home country in Montreal, and he is sure to be laser-focused in his preparation week in Napa.

7) Brendon Todd

With Todd recently surpassing the 300-event milestone, he continues to prove why he is regarded as the epitome of consistency on Tour.

Many players earn their bucks by way of a few high finishes, but not Todd. The 39-year-old makes a living the old-fashioned way -- he has made 19/23 cuts to date, with his best finish a T5 in Texas in April. Never the longest of hitters, his ability to think his way around the golf course has always been his greatest asset.

His last three trips to Napa have yielded T22-T9-6th. He will look to continue that upward trajectory with a win this week.

In a watered-down field, look for Todd to shine.
