The PGA Tour is back for the FedEx Cup Fall. With players vying for tour cards and positions in Signature Events, the fall is sure to be drama-filled.

4) Luke Clanton

There is an argument to be made that Clanton is the most talented player in the field this week. I would not argue against it.

At just 20 years old, he has already established himself as a force on Tour. In six events, he has three top tens, two top fives, and a runner-up.

Sans experience, there are no holes in his game. In the last 24 rounds, he ranks second in strokes gained on approach shots.

He made a Sunday charge at the Wyndham but faltered late. Earlier this year, Nick Dunlap won twice at age 20. Clanton is next in line.

3) Sahith Theegala

It may come as a surprise to see Theegala anywhere but number one in this field. He is coming off a third-place finish at the Tour Championship where he finished third overall and second in gross total score. It was also his best performance of the year in terms of strokes gained. He is the defending champion this week at the Procore Championship and will be a popular pick to win.

However, I can't overlook Theegala's volatility. He has eight top tens in 2024, but just one time has he stacked consecutive top tens. Theegala is an excellent talent and player, but he is also astonishingly inconsistent -- both can be true.

He can absolutely win this week, but the number-one spot seems a bit rich.
