The PGA Tour returns this week following a one-week hiatus as the FedEx Cup Fall gets underway at the newly-minted Procore Championship in Napa, California. Formerly known as the Fortinet Championship and the Safeway Open in recent years, the Procore Championship will once again be contested at the Robert Trent Jones-designed North Course at Silverado.

The first of eight FedEx Cup Fall events, the 2024 Procore Championship is headlined by defending champion Sahith Theegala, two-time winner at Silverado Max Homa, 2023 U.S. Open winner Wyndham Clark, and a handful of others who will be looking to fine-tune their games ahead of the Presidents Cup at Royal Montreal in a couple of weeks.

For those who didn't lock down a valuable Top 50 spot in the FedEx Cup Standings this season, the next couple of months presents a grand opportunity to accumulate valuable FedEx Cup points which could ensure a spot in two early signature events on the PGA Tour next year. Others will be hoping to secure their status on tour by the time the RSM Classic rolls around in November. The PGA Tour never sleeps so let's dive into a few players who could excel at this year's Procore Championship from a DFS perspective.

2024 Procore Championship DraftKings Picks: Top plays for fantasy golf lineups

J.J. Spaun, $9,000

J.J. Spaun has made the cut at Silverado in three of his last four starts and finished T11 at the Procore Championship last year; his second Top 12 finish at this event in his last three starts. The 2022 Valero Texas Open winner finished the regular season strong with finishes of T10 (Rocket Mortgage), T9 (3M Open), and T3 (Wyndham). The 34-year-old has gained strokes with his irons in five consecutive starts now and could be set for another strong showing in the first event of this year's FedEx Cup Fall series.

Eric Cole, $8,700

Eric Cole finished the regular season strong and carried a bit of momentum into this year's FedEx Cup Playoffs finishing T18 at the FedEx St. Jude Championship and advancing to the second leg of this year's playoffs. Prior to that, the 36-year-old had recorded two Top 7 finishes in four starts at both the John Deere Classic and Wyndham Championship last month where he gained strokes across the board in the latter of the two. Cole excelled with approach shots from 50-125 yards on the PGA Tour in 2024 ranking 13th on tour. Eric now returns to the Procore Championship in search of his first PGA Tour win following a fourth-place finish at Silverado last year. He has an excellent chance of accomplishing that feat this week.

Matt Kuchar, $7,900

While PGA Tour veteran Matt Kuchar may have seen his lengthy streak of consecutive FedEx Cup Playoff appearances snapped at the Wyndham Championship amidst bizarre circumstances, the ten-time career winner ended the regular season playing some excellent golf. Kuchar comes into this year's Procore Championship following consecutive finishes of T12 or better and now returns to a locale where he has made each of the last three cuts and finished T12 and T7 in his last two appearances respectively.

Mark Hubbard, $7,500

Mark Hubbard returns to the Procore Championship in 2024 following bizarre circumstances that saw the 35-year-old needing to Monday qualify for the event after missing the commitment deadline for this week's event at Silverado. The Coloradan has a tremendous track record at this event having made the cut in four of his last five starts while finishing no worse than T21 in any of them. Hubbard also finished T17 at the Barracuda Championship in California at the end of July and clearly loves events in this part of the country.

Additional options to consider: Corey Conners ($9,800), Brendon Todd ($9,100), Beau Hossler ($8,300), Gary Woodland ($7,300)
