Silverado's North Course welcomed the return of the PGA Tour and the FedEx Cup Fall for a second consecutive year as the Procore Championship in Napa, California, kicked off an eight-event stretch over the next couple of months that will culminate with the RSM Classic in November. With spots in next year's signature events and PGA Tour cards on the line, stakes were high for most of those who made the journey out west.

While Presidents Cup stars like Max Homa and Wyndham Clark garnered plenty of attention heading into this year's Procore Championship as they looked to fine-tune their games ahead of Royal Montreal in two weeks; it was players like Matt Kuchar, J.J. Spaun, Patton Kizzire, and David Lipsky, who made significant moves up the leaderboard in California.

36-year-old David Lipsky, who came into the 2024 Procore Championship ranked 123rd in the FedEx Fall standings, took the early lead at the top after opening with a 7-under 65 in round one of this year's championship. However, Lipsky's lead was short-lived, as Patton Kizzire, another player looking to secure a tour card for next season, surpassed him during the second round following his own round of 65.

With others like Patrick Fishburn, Greyson Sigg, and Presidents Cup contenders for Mike Weir's International side, Corey Conners and Mackenzie Hughes, all making significant moves on Moving Day at Silverado, Kizzire would need to keep the pedal down during the final round if he was going to secure his third career win and first since the 2018 Sony Open in Hawaii. With a plethora of names in contention going into the final round of this year's championship, it was sure to be an exciting finish in California, but exactly how much prize money was at stake at this year's Procore Championship and what does the winner's share look like? Let's take a look at the purse and payout breakdown by finishing position for this year's event at Silverado.

Procore Championship purse 2024: Total purse and winner's prize money

The purse for the first event of this year's FedEx Cup Fall is set at $6 million for 2024 with this year's winner of the Procore Championship at Silverado earning a winner's share of $1,08 million; 18% of the overall purse for the first PGA Tour event of the fall series. Unlike the majority of events last season on tour, the prize purse for the Procore Championship has taken a hit under a new sponsor; down from the $8 million that was divvied out to the field at last year's Fortinet Championship. Still, there is plenty at stake for those who made the journey to California for the first FedEx Fall event, especially for those in contention for the title.

The Procore Championship purse pales in comparison to what we have come to expect from the majority of regular-season events and signature events on the PGA Tour, having said that, however, this year's champion at Silverado will take home a seven-figure winner's share while each of the Top 16 finishers will earn over $100k in prize money for their efforts.

Additionally, the majority of the field is competing for tour status and bigger prizes down the line during this year's FedEx Cup Fall. With the exception of those who already secured a Top 50 spot for next season, players at this year's Procore Championship will earn valuable FedEx Cup points that will be carried throughout the fall as they compete for a spot in the Top 60 at the end of the fall swing which would guarantee a spot in two early-season signature events in 2025. The Procore Championship winner will earn 500 FedEx Cup points in 2024.
