2. PGA Championship

Both the US Open and PGA Championship were extremely exciting tournaments this year, but for me, the PGA has to come in second place.

For starters, I’m not a huge fan of extremely low scores at majors, but that’s what we saw this year with winner Xander Schauffele finishing at 21-under. The other downside to this tournament (which also was great for storylines) was Scottie Scheffler getting arrested ahead of his second round tee time.

Thankfully Scheffler made it to his tee time on time, and even shot an impressive 66. However, these events impacted him during his third round once the adrenaline wore off, causing him to shoot a two-over 73. Scheffler lost the tournament by eight shots, and I would argue he could’ve won this tournament if not been in serious contention had he not been arrested.

But putting Scheffler’s week to the side, we still had an awesome finish. Bryson DeChambeau did what he does best by making a ton of birdies and having some awesome celebrations. But it was Schauffele's day as he made a birdie on the last hole to defeat DeChambeau by one who was watching on from the driving range.

This tournament delivered in almost every aspect and most years probably would’ve been the best of the major season. But so far, the US Open has the top spot for me.
