Top Ten Contenders at the Sanderson Farms Championship

10) Matt Kuchar

As steady as they come. Kuchar's longevity is admirable. Only a handful of Tour players have contended past the age of 45 -- and Kuchar is not slowing down yet.

The summertime has provided a timely cleansing for the 45-year-old; his performance in the past ten events has been night and day. His last three events have ceded a trio of top-12 finishes, highlighted by a T3 at the 3M Open.

He is not a long hitter, especially at this point in his career, so there are concerns about the course fit.

Oddly enough, Kuchar, who has 557 Tour starts, will be making his debut this week in Jackson.

9) Henrik Norlander

If you aren't familiar with Norlander, just take a look at his Swedish counterparts, Ludvig Aberg and Alex Noren. What the trio have in common is that every single one of them absolutely stripes their irons.

In last year's edition, Norlander was a part of that five-man playoff (as was Ludvig Aberg) that fell short at the hands of Luke List's heroics.

The veteran Swede has flown under the radar this year with seven top-25 finishes in 15 tries. For whatever reason, CC of Jackson suits his eye: he went T4-T4-T24 prior to the aforementioned runner-up.

Add in a T8 at the Omega European Masters, and he's entering the Magnolia State in a groove.
