2) Nick Dunlap

With his win at The American Express earlier this year, Dunlap became the first amateur to win a Tour event since Phil Mickelson. He has already won twice on Tour -- before he can legally drink a beer.

Somehow, he is still underrated in golf circles. How many golfers in this field have won twice this year? The answer is one and it's Nick Dunlap.

There are weeks where the Alabama product simply does not show up, but that's to be expected from someone who's 20 competing in a professional sport.

He showed us how good his top-end is, gaining nearly four strokes on the field and outlasting Tour stars Justin Thomas and Sam Burns at The American Express. He's gone T31-T5 in his last two starts, proving that he has not lost an ounce of his early-season form. Roll Tide.

1) Keith Mitchell

From wool slacks to throwback sweaters, few have more aura than "Cashmere Keith."

And Mitchell can play a little golf too. He currently ranks fourth in strokes gained from tee to green -- his ball striking is on a different level from anyone else in this field. He is criminally underrated at the moment because he hasn't won in 2024.

His 11 top-20 finishes show just how consistent he's been, and like McNealy, he's still waiting for that signature moment. Mitchell is the best player in this field, and look for him to prove it in Jackson.
