TGL Power Rankings Update: Areas for Improvement after 3 weeks

I think Tiger wanted to snap Kevin Kisner in half after his performance.

4. LAGC (-3)

Did LA come away with a massive blowout win against Jupiter Links? Yeah, they wiped the floor with them. Was the final score maybe a little inflated because they went up against only one guy that is a full Tour member right now? 100%.

I wasn't overly impressed by the performances we got out of LA during their first match, I just think they caught the right opponent to look far better in comparison. What did surprise me about this team is that Justin Rose seems to be perfectly built for playing in the SoFi Center. He fully leaned into the energy of the league from his opening walk, and really seemed to be the strong steadying force for when Theegala and Morikawa kind of lost their swings for a moment.

3. Atlanta Drive (+1)

Oh, so Patrick Cantlay DOES actually know how to play fast? I figured a Patrick Cantlay shot clock violation was the safest bet in all of golf right now. Also, I'd like to give a big shout-out to Jamal Anderson for letting us live in a world where Billy Horschel hit the Dirty Bird to start a virtual golf match in 2025 (I still think Horschel should have had to play the whole match with the chain he was rocking during his walkout).

Horschel was very entertaining in his debut, from the walkout to his sound bites to his play, he has turned out to be a great add to the league. Him, JT, and Cantlay proved to be a formidable trio who aren't afraid to keep things close and grind out close victories. Atlanta Drive may in fact have that dog in 'em, and they could easily make a deep run in the TGL playoffs. What I do need less of, moving forward, is Cantlay worrying about the expected value of throwing the hammer.
