TGL Power Rankings Update: Areas for Improvement after 3 weeks
By James Monday
2. Boston Common Golf (no change)
The only team that we haven't seen play a match yet, the non-TGL performance of all of their players has struck a lot of confidence from me in the Ballfrogs. Matsuyama is already a winner on Tour this year, Keegan has been playing well in his first couple of starts, Rory is in the middle of a red-hot stretch, and Adam Scott is... holding his own. I still think Boston Common is the best team on paper top-to-bottom, and I am very excited to see them play over the next few weeks in the arena.
1. The Bay GC (+2)
Man, what a start to the TGL season for The Bay. Ludvig stomping on the competition, dropping bombs on the putting green, Wyndham bouncing back from the wipey fade on his first tee shot, Lowry being money with his wedges. The team is meshing so well together, and I think they're still being undervalued by everyone. They may not have the same level of consistency as a Boston Common (especially when they let the chef Min Woo Lee get cooking in the arena), but I think they have the highest ceiling. How they handle the two-match day in a few weeks will be very interesting, but hopefully, the young blood on the team will be able to handle the workload. They're going to the top of the rankings, and I refuse to apologize for it.
