It appears that if the PGA TOUR was indeed attempting to thwart any possibility of Luke Donald winning Player of the Year by delaying the vote until after the HSBC Champions, it is termed as a failure. A big failure. Admit it. You thought there was a chance at it being such. I know it crossed my mind. And that’s sad. There were factors that worked in the favor of the theory, too. Granted, still a small chance, but it was there. Remember how this all wormed it’s way into the stream?

For some odd reason, Steve Williams cannot resist the opportunity to take any type pf cut on his former employer Tiger Woods. He did so again after Williams was “honored” for Best Celebration during a season-ending banquet for the caddies. I think we all know where the celebration occurred. Hearken back to the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational. His new boss, Adam Scoot, had just won the tournament. Yest the story wasn’t Scott’s play. It was Williams and his words. A Re-Sergio-ence

Within a span of two weeks, Sergio Garcia has ascended back into the realm of contender. As I opined just last week, his win at the Castello Masters should not be diminished. Same applies to his win at the Andalucia Masters. I can hear it already. A lot of the talent was either in Shanghai gunning for a $2 million top prize or over at the CIMB over in Malaysia.
