One of Phil Mickelson’s most famous moments is now a logo that he wears on his sleeve. Could this be the start of a new brand, or just a one time thing?

If anybody looks through the rich history of amazing golf photojournalism over the years, there are always a number of images that come to mind. When Phil Mickelson won the 2004 Masters, he leaped into the air, and the image that was captured would become an all-time classic.

Now, the Hall of Famer is trademarking that jump, with a logo, emulating the leap he took in 2004. He wore it during the CareerBuilder Challenge, and it looks pretty dope.

In a way, you can say it looks similar to Michael Jordan’s famous Jumpman logo, that is seen all across the world of Nike. With the logo being seen for the first time, could we see a Mickelson brand coming soon, with the logo?

Anything’s possible, and when you’re arguably the most popular golfer not named Tiger Woods over the last 20 years, it seems only fitting. Considering how iconic the photo is, it’s definitely a good marketing opportunity for Mickelson.

Golf fans, and even non-golf fans alike may enjoy seeing a dude jump with a putter in his hand, on their clothes. Woods could easily use his world famous fist pump, and make a logo out of that as well.

Many golfers have had some cool moments that stood out among the rest. Chi Chi Rodriguez’s sword dance with the putter was always fun.

Jim Furyk’s swing, so different, yet so effective. Arnold Palmer, cool as ice, and also had an unusual, but extremely effective golf swing.

Now, the things that those golfers did, was more than once obviously. Mickelson’s jump was a one-time thing, but it has stood the test of time, and people still remember.

Heck, Danny Lee, while partnering with Mickelson this week, gave the famed leap a shot after he made his putt. I’d say the expressive, young New Zealander did a pretty solid job of it.

Hudson Swafford would go on to win the CareerBuilder Challenge, holding off Adam Hadwin who shot a 59 in the tourney. Maybe Swafford is scheming a cool celebration idea if he gets out there and wins another PGA Tour tournament.
