2015 Valspar Championship Fantasy Sleeper Picks
By Danny Norris
The Valspar Championship will be the opposite of what we saw last week at the WGC-Cadillac Championship. Copperhead plays tight and tough. If you don’t hit fairways, you’ll be in for a long day.

Last week, I pretty much swung and missed. Hey, week in and week out we are pretty much on point, so you can say we were due for a poor week.
The conditions weren’t nearly as bad as I thought they would be. They weren’t ideal, but not bad like they were for the Honda Classic.
Anyway, let’s bounce back. Here are the 2015 Valspar Championship fantasy sleeper picks this week.
Brendon Todd– I’m starting off with a pick that really isn’t a sleeper pick, but he is below the average on DraftKings so I’m picking him. The reason is I really like Brendon Todd this week. I couldn’t fit him in the power rankings and this is the next best thing.
We talked about it last week, the tougher the tournament the better he usually performs. This is a tough course where you have to be on point tee-to-green and that is Todd’s bread and butter.
Todd is an excellent ball striker. Todd currently hits 70% of fairways which is good for 11th on Tour and Strokes Gained: Tee-to-Green he is 27th. Todd’s game fits the Copperhead and I wouldn’t be surprised to see him win this week.
Brian Harman– Brian Harman has made the cut the last two years here at the Valspar Championship. He finished T-25 last year, and T-14 in 2013. Brian Harman is in fine form as well coming off a T-11 at the Honda Classic.
Charley Hoffman– I’ve always described Charley Hoffman as a Professional Tour player. Now, you maybe saying “Well, no…kidding, he is a Tour player.” But, what I mean is that he’s usually always on the first couple of pages for the second tier events. He’s never quite good enough for the premier events, but always good enough for the others.
That’s been changing for the past couple of years now. Charley Hoffman has been playing well at just about everywhere. He qualified for the WGC-Cadillac Championship and he held his own. He finished 4-over in a tie for 38th.
Hoffman is a really solid PGA Tour player and has played well here at the Valspar Championship. He’s made the cut the last four years, including a T-25 last year.

K.J. Choi– It’s weird to me that K.J. Choi seems like he’s always this low. Now, K.J. Choi may not have the highest of ceilings, but if you want someone to make the cut and finish around top 20-40, Choi is your man.
In five tournaments this year, Choi has made the cut in all five tournaments and Choi has made the cut four of his last five times here at the Valspar Championship.
Choi is a very short hitter, but he his fairways, he hits greens, and he grinds out birdies and pars. There’s no one safer in the lower bracket than Choi.
George McNeill– George McNeill is a fantastic value pick this week. Not only does McNeill play well here at Copperhead, but he’s in fine form as well making the cut in his last four tournaments, including a T-11 at the Honda Classic.
McNeill is from Florida, so it’s no surprise that he finds comfort in the state of Florida. Last year, McNeill finished T-7 at the Valspar Championship. In 2013, T-30, and 2012 T-46.
