From among the top-ranked players in the field LDG players picked Inbee Park to win the Lotte Championship. With neither Lydia Ko nor Stacy Lewis in the field this week, Park is a logical choice although 4th ranked Hyo Joo Kim, 5th ranked Shanshan Feng, 6th ranked Brittany Lincicome and 7th ranked Suzann Pettersen will certainly be in the mix.
Although it’s still very early into the 72-hole tournament, Feng is playing just a bit ahead of Park and could be one of the players to set the pace during the initial rounds. Still, Park’s a solid choice. She delivers a consistent, high-performance game.
Morgan Pressel
From within the second grouping in the rankings Ladies Dream Golfers picked Morgan Pressel to win or finish high on the board. It’s a sound choice. Pressel’s revival of her game since she got back from the Tour’s Asian spring fling produced positive results in the form of her 3rd place finish at the ANA Inspiration and she’s outplaying both Feng and Park during the first round of the LOTTE Championship.

Ladies Dream Golfers tapped 76th ranked Moriya Jutanugarn for a high finish at the LOTTE, another good choice. Jutanugarn got off to a lukewarm start at the Coates Golf Championship and the Pure Silk-Bahamas, then missed the cut at the Women’s Australian Open.
Since the Tour’s returned to the continental US, however, Jutanugarn’s finishes are going in the right direction, a T17 at the Founders Cup, a T8 at the Kia Classic, and a T11 at the ANA Inspiration. She’s playing at even par right now but watch this one edge up the leaderboard as the LOTTE unfolds.
LDG players tagged 219th ranked Brooke Pancake from within the 4th group to record a high finish at the LOTTE. Pancake, who’s entered two events and made two cuts this season, is a reasonable choice, but she’s going to need to get ahead and stay ahead of Minjee Lee and Laetitia Beck and Sophia Popov in order to win the competition within her rankings group. She’s trailing all of them at the end of the first round.
