Sandra Gal’s playing her 8th year on the Tour. With an average of 29.19 putts per round this year (based on 58 rounds played), Gal’s ranked 9th in putting average.
With 20 career top-10 finishes that include her 2011 win at the Kia Classic, she’s ranked 35th in the world by Rolex and 18th on the Tour’s Official Money List.

What’s Sandra Gal bringing to the first tee this week at Lancaster? 15 starts, no missed cuts and two top-10 finishes — at the Honda LPGA Thailand and at the LOTTE Championship — speak to Gal’s consistency. She finished T46 at the Tour’s first major, the ANA Inspiration, but delivered a strong 12th place finish at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship.
Does Gal have a winning game in her bag? I think she does. She’s had a tendency to start slow, then turn on the heat in the 3rd and 4th rounds. If Gal goes low early in the Open, I’ll look for her to be aiming for the top of the board come Sunday.
