Morgan Pressel, like Julieta Granada, is playing her 9th year on the Tour.  Ranked 21st by Rolex, Pressel is 8th on the Tour’s 2015 Official Money List.  She’s averaging 28.89 putts per round (over 53 rounds), which ranks her among the top 5 putters on the Tour this year.

Pressel has 54 career top-10 finishes on her resume, two of them victories — the 2007 Kraft Nabisco Championship and the 2008 Kapaua LPGA Classic.  Four of her top-10s have come this year but Pressel is still on the hunt for a 2015 win.  She’s come achingly close, with a solo 3rd place finish at the ANA Inspiration and a T3 finish at the ShopRite LPGA Classic.  She also finished T5 at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship.

Pressel has been playing competitive golf golf enough to understand how to manage the pressure of playing in a Major.  She’s finished high at both previous Majors and she’s bringing a solid, steady game to Lancaster.  But it is a winning game?  It could be. Pressel understand that golf involves patience, the consistent application of technical skill, and a sprinkle of good fortune.  She can control two of the three elements of the winning equation.
