2015 Women’s British Open Golf Channel Fantasy Picks
By Danny Norris
Group 2: There are some really good golfers in this group, but there isn’t that perfect golfer that is in great form right now and has a great history at the Women’s British Open.
For example, Lexi Thompson just won at the Meijer Classic, but she hasn’t had much success at British Opens finishing T-17, MC, and T-54.
You could say the same thing about Azahara Munoz. She has finished inside the top eight in her last four tournaments, but she has no top tens here at the British Open and has missed the cut in half her appearances.

On the flip side, you have someone like Jessica Korda who has finished T-25 and T-5 in her last two British Opens, but she comes in missing the cut in her last two tournaments.
It’s tough to find that balance of solid form and solid play at the British Open. Let’s go over a few more golfers.
Lizette Salas has been on the verge of winning her second career LPGA title and you have to think she’s going to win sometime this year. Who knows? Maybe here at the British Open. She has only played the major once, but she finished 4th in that lone appearance.
Paula Creamer isn’t in the greatest of form. She’s making the cut, but not really competing at the top of leaderbaords. However, she has never missed a cut at a British Open and she has four top tens in her career.
One last golfer I want to highlight is Morgan Pressel. She has been boom-or-bust in her last few LPGA starts, but she has been solid enough at the British Open. She has made the cut in her last six starts with two top tens thrown in as well.
Alright, time to make a pick in this group. I think we’ve narrowed it down a bit and I think Paula Creamer might be my pick in this spot. Creamer seems like a nice safe pick to make the cut and finish T-25. If she does that, then it’s a good pick.
