It’s kind of hard to believe, but the final major of the year is already upon us. This Thursday, the best golfers from around the world will tee it up at Whistling Straits for the PGA Championship.

It seems like just yesterday that we were gearing up for The Masters. We were speculating as to whether or not Rory McIlroy would achieve the career grand slam. Whether or not the likes of Jason Day, Dustin Johnson, etc. would win their first career major.

Then we had the U.S. Open in June which featured the unknown Chambers Bay which produced fireworks and a dramatic finish. Even The Open Championship has been a month ago already and it doesn’t really feel like it. I don’t know, maybe it’s just me.

Anyway, the PGA Championship is upon us and this is Glory’s Last Shot. Whistling Straits played host to the PGA Championship as recently as 2010.

That’s when Martin Kaymer defeated Bubba Watson in a playoff and Dustin Johnson received a two stroke penalty for grounding his club in that bunker. Something you’ll be reminded of constantly throughout the week and as the tournament progresses, especially if D.J. is in contention.

Before writing the PGA Championship power rankings I had an idea of the top ten. But, boy, with McIlroy coming back it really changed things a little bit more than I thought. With that said, let’s get into the rankings for the PGA Championship.
