It’s no secret that Jordan Spieth has been the best and most exciting golfer this season, and he did not disappoint on the first day at Whistling Straits.
Spieth finished -1 on 71 shots, and overall had a pretty uneventful evening. Through 18 holes, Spieth had only two birdies and one bogie. The 21-year-old phenom isn’t off to an amazing start, but he did leave himself with a legitimate chance to stay in contention, which is what all golf fans want; to see their favorite players compete on the final day.
Can Spieth grab his third major in one season? He may be five behind the lead, but there’s still plenty of time for him to catch up, so stay tuned.
