10. Paul Casey

I went back and forth between Paul Casey and Bill Haas but ultimately went with Casey.

Haas is a very good golfer and a former FedEx Cup champion but — surprisingly enough — he has yet to record a top ten at a major. Haas’ lack of success at major championships was the difference and why Casey gets the nod over Haas.

Casey might only have one PGA Tour victory in his career, but he has won thirteen times on the European Tour and he has had some success in majors. Casey has finished inside the top ten six times and Casey has also been close on one occasion.

In 2010, Casey was in the final group with Louis Oosthuizen. While he started off the round four shots off, he was hanging in there on Sunday. If Oosthuizen made a huge mistake, Casey was lurking around to where he could capitalize and take advantage.

However, it was Casey who would make the huge mistake as he made triple bogey on the 12th hole to knock himself out of contention.

Casey hasn’t been that close to a major championship since, but he had a strong 2015 campaign that included a T-6 finish at The Masters.

Casey is back on track to being one of the better golfers in the world and in turn one of the best golfers without a major championship.
