2014: Nick Faldo

Sir Nick Faldo spent an impressive 98 weeks as the world’s #1 ranked golfer throughout his illustrious career. During that time, he managed to capture 39 world victories, 9 of which came on the PGA Tour. He won 6 major championships along the way and was even knighted in his home country of England.

Faldo has used his high-profile status to influence the lives of future generations. In 1996, Sir Nick created the Faldo Series, a not-for-profit organization that hosts 40 annual golf tournaments around the world. The make-shift tour focuses on identifying and nurturing the next generation of champion golfers.

He’s also the founder of the Faldo Designs company. The golf course design group has produced 26 golf courses around the world.
