2012: Steve Stricker

A native of Edgerton, Wisconsin, Steve Stricker has won on the PGA Tour 12 times. He won back-to-back Comeback Player of the year honors in 2006 and 2007. A journeyman of sorts, “Strick” lost his tour card in 2005. He regained his swing by hitting practice balls out of his trailer in the Wisconsin winter.

Throughout his career, Stricker has focused on charitable organizations aimed at helping youth and adults with disabilities. He’s worked with the Mission of VSA Arts of Wisconsin, a program that brings dance, drama, music & the visual arts to those with disabilities.

In 2013, Stricker teamed up with the American Family Insurance Foundation, a group focused on building healthy relationships in families households. The organization focuses on nutrition and health, as it looks to fight chronic illness in children.
