$12,600 to $10,000

This week, DraftKings has decided to go with eight golfers in the five digits and four golfers over the $11,000 marker. We talked about what works here at Conway Farms. The golfers that consistently hit fairways and greens time and time again will be up near the top.

Rory McIlroy ($12,100), Dustin Johnson ($10,400), and Bubba Watson ($10,200) probably aren’t the best of plays. McIlroy is still knocking the rust off while Johnson and Bubba aren’t the most accurate golfers.

The other five I like and it’s basically splitting hairs at this point. You can’t go wrong with Jason Day ($12,600) as nobody is playing better than him.

  • Jordan Spieth ($11,600) is about ready for a bounce back. I feel the two missed cuts and the week off last week were good for him. He’s now well rested and comes to a course that should fit his eye and game.

On the flip side, you hope that week off didn’t cool off Henrik Stenson ($11,400). Stenson has been striking the ball extremely and knocking on the door the last couple of weeks.

Rickie Fowler ($10,700) had a week off to celebrate his win at the Deutsche Bank Championship and I would look for him to continue that momentum this week.

Jim Furyk ($10,000) is probably the safest bet on the board. Not only that, but he’s the cheapest pick in this range. Furyk is the poster child of hitting fairways and greens. Plus, as we talked about in the previous slide, Furyk finished runner-up to Zach Johnson in 2013.
