2015 Open D’Italia Preview & Power Rankings

This week, the European Tour travels to Monza, Italy for the 2015 Open D’Italia. This is typically a high scoring affair as three of the last four winners have been 20-under or better.

From a betting and fantasy perspective if you are looking at course history, don’t bother. This year, Golf Club Milano will be hosting the 2015 Open D’Italia for the first time since 1990.

Golf Club Torino hosted the last couple of years, before that Royal Park, before that Castello di Tolcinasco hosted, you get the idea.

We have a pretty nice field this week with a few golfers playing for the first time since the PGA Championship.

Danny Willett, Bernd Wiesberger, and the home country favorite this week Francesco Molinari all are notables that are playing for the first time since the PGA Championship.

Which isn’t a bad strategy. After a long year and after all the time, the effort, the preparation that goes into peaking for the majors you are going to need a little time off.
