This week, the European Tour will make its penultimate stop in the British Isles at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. If you’re a golfer, it’s said that you shouldn’t go to the UK without playing one of its fantastic links courses. This week, that won’t be an issue–played on a rotation that includes St Andrews, Carnoustie and Kingsbarns, the Dunhill Links is an event that requires versatility as well as seaside golf prowess.

Every year, links golf becomes most significant around mid-July. That’s around the time of both the Open Championship and the Scottish Open, arguably the two most prestigious links tournaments in the world. This week, even as more and more leaves start to change, watching the Old Course on TV will surely remind you of the summertime.

Also pertinent is the Dunhill Links’ pro-am format. At the outset of the week, each player is paired with a celebrity. A 54-hole celebrity cut occurs independent of the normal cut, and the top team wins the pro-am. It shouldn’t have an effect from a projection standpoint, but keep it in mind.

The Dunhill Links attracts a pretty good field, so it wasn’t difficult to find ten quality players who look like smart bets for success this week. Without further ado, let’s go ten deep for the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. Each player’s current Race to Dubai standing is included next to his name.
