Phil Mickelson–A tie for second at the Masters was the highlight of Lefty’s season, but unlike last year, he wasn’t just a one-trick pony, also notching a third and a fourth. Of course, none of these finishes can make up for the fact that Mickelson was a non-factor at the U.S. Open at Chambers Bay, the last major he needs to complete the career Grand Slam. Until he pulls that off, we probably won’t need to worry about whether or not he’ll play a full schedule, at least until he turns 50. Ultimately, 2015 will likely stand as a continuation of the new normal for Mickelson: that is, no wins, maybe one great major performance and a whole lot of crowd-pleasing flop shots. Grade: C+
