Presidents Cup Report Card: Team USA

Rickie Fowler–The Oklahoma State product started out the week by pairing up with Jimmy Walker in a reunion of one of Team USA’s most productive duos in last year’s Ryder Cup. A win in their Thursday foursome was good, but after they lost to an all-Korean pairing of Sang-moon Bae and Danny Lee on Friday, captain Jay Haas opted to go in a different direction. On Saturday morning, Fowler teamed up with Patrick Reed, but they ran into the Oosthuizen-Grace buzzsaw and came up short. He finished his week by falling to Adam Scott in singles, 6 and 5. Given his three wins this year, fans had to have expected a lot more from one of the team’s young leaders, especially when his ideal partner was on the roster. Grade: C
