While the world’s elite players are spending this week in China for the WGC-HSBC Champions, the masses of the PGA Tour are headed down to Mississippi for the Sanderson Farms Championship. Held at the Country Club of Jackson since last year’s edition, the event awards 350 FedEx Cup points and a two-year exemption to the winner.
The Country Club of Jackson is a classic track–one need not be a bomber to contend this week. Because of last year’s relocation, we don’t have a ton of course history to go off of. As a result, first-timers might be more likely to find success.

Another wrinkle to consider is the quality of the field. With a good chunk of the world’s top 50 at the WGC, the pool of players that could conceivably win shrinks dramatically, making the Sanderson Farms a great opportunity for any young player, the smaller purse notwithstanding.
Without any further ado, let’s go ten deep. Here are this week’s best bets for success as the PGA Tour makes its yearly stop in Mississippi.
