LPGA: Toto Japan Classic Five Top Seeds
4th ranked Lexi Thompson is coming into the Japan Classic with a very strong record: 2 victories and 9 additional top-10 finishes. One of those wins and 3 of those additional top-10s have come in her last 5 starts. It looks to me like Lexi Thompson is heading for a bang-up ending to her season.

Thompson seemed to come alive at the Solheim Cup. Playing with Cristie Kerr, she showed some aggression that I hadn’t seen in her early-season game, and that new-found approach has carried over into her late-season performance.
Like Yani Tseng, Thompson is long and strong and sometimes a bit wild off the tee, but if she can keep that part of her game under control and stay away from the trouble that’s lurking just outside the short grass at Kintetsu Kashikojima, Thompson could be the one to beat.
It’s always better to take home two trophies from the Tour’s fall Asian Swing than one. With a win this week Lexi could make it a pair!
