1. 2008 U.S. Open
It doesn’t get more Tiger Woods than the 2008 U.S. Open. Even more significant is that his could be the last major Big Cat ever wins.
Woods started slow with a first round of 1-over 72, but slowly crept his way into first place. By the end of the third round, Tiger had a one-shot lead entering Sunday. For those who aren’t aware, he’s got a pretty good track record of winning majors with a 54-hole lead. 13-0 to be exact.

Surprisingly, Rocco Mediate entered the clubhouse with the lead at 1-under, putting the pressure on Woods to birdie the final hole to force an 18-hole playoff with Mediate on Monday.
Tiger set himself up with a 12-foot birdie putt. It’s a scenario golf fans dream about; needing to make a birdie putt at America’s major to force a playoff.
As you watched him line up the putt, everyone knew he was going to make it and sure enough he did. To add to the drama, the ball lipped around the hole before dropping in.
