Woods struggled with his game almost all season long, especially with his chipping around the green. It was almost unbearable to see him hack it around like an average joe. However, the Wyndham Championship was a huge stepping stone for Tiger.
Starting on the first hole in his first round of the tournament, it looked like Big Cat was in trouble right off the bat. His third shot was sitting about 20 yards off the green with very little green to work with.
With the crowd hanging on edge not knowing what to expect from his next shot in the rough, a shot he struggled with all season long, Tiger pulled out some magic. He executed his best flop of the season and made the shot for birdie, sending the crowds into frenzy. It was a shot that set the tone for a wild weekend in Greensboro.
