Watch this hot putt that finished off a round of hot putting.

There is nothing quite as satisfying and confidence-building as a well-fired putt, the kind that just can’t go anywhere but into the bottom of the cup. That’s how Morgan Pressel dispatched this one on the last hole of her first round in Taiwan.

Pressel ended that round with a 68 and was looking at the top of the leaderboard. She knew she was in contention when she walked up on the 18th green, lined up the ball and sent it home.

She wasn’t able to sustain the momentum of her first round. Things got worse fast for Pressel. Her putter went stone cold on her and her doubles in the 2nd and 3rd rounds ate up her lead. She finished the Fubon at 1-over par and well down the leaderboard.

Despite what came later, that final putt in a round of superior putting sticks in my memory as well as hers.
