Katie Burnett looks like the strongest pick from Group 4 to make the cut and play the weekend.

Katie Burnett, Amy Anderson, Annie Park and Gabby Lopez jump out at me from the Group 4 players.

More from Pro Golf Now

Katie Burnett is a talented young golfer who has been working very hard to strengthen her game. She’s playing selected LET events in addition to her LPGA schedule and the broadened competitive experience is paying off for her. Burnett made the cut at the 2015 Founders Cup and she’s coming into this year with 3 LPGA starts and a missed cut.

Amy Anderson has a record that looks much like Burnett’s although she’s missed 2 cuts this year and doesn’t seem to be showing quite the same level of strength in her current game. But if you’re an Amy Anderson fan you can probably over look that 2nd missed cut.

Annie Park and Gabby Lopez are two more members of the 2015 rookie class who’ve caught my eye. Annie Park has 2 starts, a missed cut and a top-10 finish. Gabby Lopez has 3 starts, a top-10 finish, and no missed cuts.

Here I’m torn between Katie Burnett, who knows the Wildfire track and has done her homework to prepare and Gabby Lopez, a talented rookie who’s being mentored by Lorena Ochoa and Stacy Lewis and is surely on the fast track for a headliner position.
